I made up/added an additional undersea race for the fantasy setting or mine because I needed something to fill this niche. Pearl Naga, which are a very pale and very large aquatic species of naga. They have long sea serpent tails that are a pale color reminiscent to undersea pearls. They're the same size as Golden giants, which is slightly bigger than Desert Naga and slightly smaller than Leviathans. Unlike other Naga they aren't (strictly) carnivores and instead simply feast off of large aquatic plants, seaweed and small organisms in the waters they swim in. You could think of them as whales or whale sharks and are equally peaceful.

Male Leviathans often hitch rides on Pearl Naga to get around. Pearl Naga are very big and protective of things they consider their belongings, so male Leviathans are pretty safe in their company. In return they keep their mistress clean and they try to keep their Pearl Naga comfortable by fetching her food and massaging them. Male Leviathans are substantially smaller (they're the same size as Sea Giants) than their female counterparts and have a relationship similar to that of many male/female spiders...where the female attempts to make a snack out of her "hubby". Because of that, staying with a Pearl Naga is the easiest way to stay hidden from a female Leviathan.
